From modern bread to traditional bread

From modern bread to traditional bread

During CBC for MaST Education the team from ,,Neagoe Basarab" College presented  the project called ,,From modern bread to traditional bread” and we all noticed in what way some of the chemical processes are daily used by everybody and also how an easy bread recipe is based on a number of complex chemical processes.

Sorana, Marina and Narcisa took care of preparing the bread. They came with flour which was already sifted and then they mixed the composition with yeast and water. After that, they left it to yeast in a bowl for about an hour.

First of all, Simon and Andrei took care of writing and translating the project and the artistic side was composed of a set of paintings which were made by Costia, Florentina and Iuliana. Moreover, we had a descriptive poster which was made by Bianca. All those things illustrated perfectly what other team members showed on the stage in front of lots of people. So, Narcisa showed  the entry of the presentation and Sorana, Marina and Bianca showed the following part.

As a result of all our work to carry out the project, we went to Bulgaria where took place the presentation of the project and because of that experience, we all have had the opportunity to notice how are students in those places and also to make new friends. They showed us their traditional dance and then we gave everyone a slice of our traditional bread.
We thought that it would be amazing to bring with us a small part of Romanian cuisine through this project. Furthermore, we showed it using the science studied at school: mostly Chemistry, but also a little bit of Biology and Physics. This shows that studying the exact sciences is very important in our life  because these are all around us.
